GETTING READY FOR THE DYNO

ONE OF THE VERY FEW CHEVY “MYSTERY MOTORS” THAT EXIST TODAY / LATER BECAME THE FAMOUS 396 / 427 MONSTERS FROM 1965 TO 1970

THIS IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL THREE EXPERIMENTAL 283 C.I. ALUMINUM CASTINGS PRODUCED BY GMIN THE LATE 50’S. THE OTHER 2 WERE MACHINED AND COMPLETED, BUT DEVELOPED CRACKS. THE IDEA WAS SHELVED. THIS ONE IS NOT MACHINED

Interesting 1963 Speedometer Cluster, showing 200 kph or mph on the indicator scale. NOS cluster showing 1.5 on the odometer. Need a good cleaning under the gauge face but otherwise , near mint. PRODUCT SAMPLE stamped in several places. Another interesting note is the color coded paint that differs from the stamped wire color for the same position!
